Baccano!

Ryohgo Narita and Katsumi Enami wrote Baccano! The series is set in a fictional United States over several time periods, including Prohibition. It's about unrelated alchemists, thieves, thugs, Mafiosi, and Camorristi. After an immortality elixir is manufactured in 1930 Manhattan, events spiral out of hand. Since February2003, ASCII Media Works' Dengeki Bunko imprint has published 20 novels. The novels were converted into a 16-episode anime series by Brain's Base and Aniplex. First 13 episodes aired on WOWOW from July26, 2007 to November1,2007; last three were direct-to-DVD. The series was turned into a manga, a Nintendo DS adventure game, and two drama CDs. Two gaiden books were released in parts with the anime DVDs.
