Oedipus Rex

In pre war Italy, a young couple have a baby boy. The father, however, is covetous of his child - where the child is taken to be killed, and also the spectacle moves into antiquity. He is rescued, awarded the name Edipo (Oedipus), and brought up by the King and Queen of Corinth as his son. An oracle in-forms Edipo he is destined to kill his father and wed his mother, one day. Horrified, he flees Corinth and his presumed parents only to get into a fight and kill an older person on the road...
