Starting with a picture of a tour bus warming up its engine in the quiet of an empty lot, this haunting, personal portrait of music legend Levon Helm captures the feeling of a life spent on the road. Helm, a founding member of The Band and the subject of Jacob Hatley's very personal documentary, is at home in Woodstock making his first studio album in 25 years. He's been through drugs, bankruptcy, The Band's bitter breakup, and throat cancer. He's the ultimate survivor, but as the title shows, he wasn't in it for his health.
