Touko Laaksonen returns home after a harrowing and epic adventure serving his country in World War II, but life in Finland throughout peace time proves debilitating. He finds Helsinki uncontrolled with persecution around him being forced to marry women and have kids of the gay and men. Touko finds refuge in his art, specialising in homoerotic drawings of men of inhibitions. His work -- made famous by his trademark'Tom of Finland' -- fanned the fires of a revolution and became the symbol of a production of men.
