Jacek loves heavy metal and his or her dog. He bombs down them and converts the country lanes out his doorway. After he and his girl friend Dagmara take to the dancefloor, everyone runs for cover. He keeps his muscles toned working close to the Polish-German border, and loves his existance as a misfit in a otherwise relaxing environment. But his life is thrown off course by a terrible accident. Followed by the media, Jacek becomes the first person in the united states to be given a facial transplant. He recognises himself in the mirror, although he can be celebrated as a national hero and martyr. Meanwhile, Jesus' statue grows taller and taller. Events across Jacek come quick and thick, the film brings things more into attention and never loses sight of this larger picture.
