Walkabout

Under the pretense of getting a picnic, a geologist chooses 6-year-old kid and also his teenaged daughter into the outback and attempts to shoot at them. If he fails, he turns the gun on himself, and the two citybred children need to compete with wilderness. They are rescued by a chance encounter with an Aborigine boy that shows them just how to survive, and also in the method underscores the disharmony between nature and modern life.
