The Keeping Room

Inside this American Western set towards the close of the Civil War, Southerner Augusta encounters two renegade, drunken soldiers who are on a mission of violence and pillage. Augusta races straight back that she shares with her husband Louise along with their female slave Mad after escaping an attempted attack. When the pair of soldiers track Augusta down intent on exacting revenge, the trio of women are made to take up arms to fend off their assailants, finding methods to resourcefully defend their home--themselves and -- ----as the escalating attacks become more erratic and persistent.
