The Island of Cats

Old Daikichi has been living on a small island for the past 70 years. The only companion he has had after the death of his wife has been his cat, Tama. When Daikichi isn't spending time with his childhood buddies, he enjoys spending time with his cat Tama. He has a son in Tokyo named Tsuyoshi. Tsuyoshi is concerned about his father's safety on the island, but Daikichi is happy where he is. After the death of a close friend, Daikichi begins to worry about his own health. His routine starts to shift. "Neko to Jiichan" is the inspiration for this film.
