Eva Doesn't Sleep

The strangest thing about this particular story is it's true. Back in 1952, Eva Perón, Argentina's beloved First Lady, died at the age of thirtythree of cancer. A renowned embalmer was commissioned by the grieving Juan Perón to conserve her own body display, and Argentines appeared to function as near"Evita." Three years later, when a military coup overthrew his administration, Perón fled the country until he would make arrangements for the transportation of the own body of his wife. The corpse was contested by the junta in control. So fearful were they of Eva power they even made it illegal to utter her name. Thus began the two-decade travel of the body during Europe and back to Argentina of Eva.
