Dark Blue World

Lt. Franta Slama is just really a high pilot in the Czech Air Force who's delegated to teach a promising young flier, Karel Vojtisek, and so they become friends. When Nazi Germany invades Czechoslovakia in 1939 where they join civic exiles from the 30, they reject the power of their leaders and escape to England. While flying a mission Karel crash lands and happens upon the farm house of Susan. Karel falls head but, while they like a brief fling, in time Susan decides she prefers the company of the older and more populous Franta. As Franta and Karel struggle to keep their friendship despite their romantic competition.
